Last week, the wait for our renewed 171-H finally ended when we received the long awaited document. We now are officially in the Ethiopia program. We now have the paperwork for our new homestudy agency, since the CHI branch offices are offices are officially closed. They have since reopened the Yahoo groups; they were closed down for a while due to spreading of rumours being spread and some groups were having people say not-so nice things about certain people.
Some other good news is that the Ethiopian courts, which close for a couple months each year during the rainy season, opened a little bit ahead of schedule. In additio, there were three referrals this week; all young babies, an 8-week baby boy, a 1-month baby girl and a 5-month baby girl. Very exciting, let the referrals start pouring in

Congrats on your big step !!!!
Congrats! I'm so happy to hear that you guys are moving forward again. I can't wait to hear more about the Ethopia program and your experience.
Congratulations and welcome to the Ethiopia Program!
Hopefully at some point, we'll make it to a northern IL area ETH family event and meet you there or at a CHI reunion!
good wishes on this amazing journey. We were initially in the China program, but we switched and brought home our son from ETH last August.
Look forward to following your path to parenthood!

Better put "rec'd 171-H" on your ticker at the right! that was 8 weeks, not bad at all. So once you get an updated home study -- you can send in the dossier, right? boy, you guys will be ahead of us on the list for sure. Woo-Yoo!!
I'm so excited things are finally going the way they should be! Congrats on being part of the program now! :)
Let the referrals come flowing in!
